When shipping with Mail Boxes Etc you agree to the terms and conditions of the shipping company that is used. The terms and conditions can be found on the websites of the shipping companies.
You will always get a tracking number, which you must use to follow the shipment. Let us know immediately if any delays or other deviations occur. Tracking numbers should also be given to the recipient by the shipper.
If the shipment is larger (length, width, and height) or weighs more than stated, the customer will be charged for the difference in price.
It’s always the recipient who has to pay the customs fees and taxes. If a shipment is stopped by the customs authorities and it isn’t possible to proceed with the import of the goods, or the recipient doesn’t want to pay any customs fees and taxes, then the return shipment must also be paid by the customer, if the shipper wants the package returned.
We do not have an overview regarding customs rules, tariffs, and customs procedures. It’s the customers responsibility to investigate if there’s any prohibitions, customs tariffs, import licenses, etc that needs to be taken into account.
Insurance: If you do not order insurance and the shipment is lost or damaged, you will not get compensated for the true value of the goods. Compensation is then based on size and weight, which mostly results in lower compensation than the true value of the goods.
If your shipment is damaged during transport, the recipient must inform the driver who’s delivering. Do not throw away the packaging as the shipping company might want to investigate.
Addresses and contact information of the recipient must be as complete and accurate as possible. If the package cannot be delivered, it will be returned at the customer’s expense.
Dates that are given as delivery times for shipments are just estimates. In most cases, shipments will be delivered within the estimated delivery time, but delays may occur as a result of customs clearance, security checks, incorrect address information, or force majeure. A delay of one business day is considered to be within the estimated delivery time.
If a shipment is ordered, paid for, and then cancelled without it being our or the shipping companys fault, there’s a 265NOK fee deducted from the refunded amount.
